05/28/21 Fixed issue with the "Select Conversation" workflows on the "messages" page

If you created your app with the Messaging Template before 05/28/21, please send an email to [email protected] and we will make sure your app's workflows are corrected and up to date. There was an issue where if you viewed clicked "view more messages' in a Conversation, and then switched to a different Conversations, the list of Messages would not update.

09/05/20 Replaced Hello 3.0 Video Chat Service with Updated Web RTC Service

Added this section How to Update the Template's Video Chat Service to the documentation which describes how to update the Web RTC video product service to the latest version. The previous service that was used (Hello 3.0 Chat) has been discontinued, but the updated version will function in the same way as Hello 3.0 Chat functioned previously. Please note that this change only needs to be made to applications created from the template before 09/05/20. 04/28/20 Added a section that describes how to change the chat bubble colors on the Messages page

Added this section Viewing/Editing the Colors of the Message Bubbles to the documentation which describes how to view or change the colors of the chat bubbles on the messages page. If you have absolutely any questions at all, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected].

07/20/19 Updated the "Set Your App's Default Profile Picture" Section of the Setup Guide

Updated the Setup Guide's Set Your App's Default Profile Picture section. Previously, this section of the documentation stated how to upload a default value for the "profile picture" field on the User data type. A few more steps have been added to ensure that the default profile picture value file is not deleted from your app's storage when a User changes their profile picture. Please refer to the updated documentation if you have uploaded a default value for the "profile picture" field, or are planning on adding this. If you have absolutely any questions at all, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected].

06/14/19 Fixed Issue with Send Message from Profile Page Functionality

If you created your app with the Messaging Template before 06/14/19, please send an email to [email protected] and we will make sure your app's workflows are corrected and up to date. There is an issue where after sending a message within the FG - Create New Conversation element, the new conversation does not become visible afterwards.

6/06/19 Added the "How to show the Chat window after clicking "Message" on the Profile Page when a Conversation Exists" Mini Guide

If you would prefer the template to show the standard desktop or mobile conversation view, instead of the new conversation form after clicking the "Message" button on the profile page when a conversation between the Current User and the Current Page User already exists, this mini guide explains how to set up this functionality.
